Memba Titanium - Iron Project

Acquired in late 2011, Memba is a high grade titanium-iron (Ti-Fe) project located in Nampula Province, Mozambique. Preliminary rock-chip sampling has shown that the mineralisation is very high-grade, being almost pure ilmenite (titanium host mineral).

A joint venture, of which Globe can earn up to 90%, Memba covers approximately 1,110 square kilometres and is a low commitment/high upside project in an attractive mining jurisdiction.  In May 2012, Globe was granted an additional exploration licence adjacent the Memba Project Area.

In 2012, Globe completed a number of significant field programs to better understand the mineralised potential of the Memba Project.  Memba has remarkable and unique mineralisation, with preliminary rock chip samples averaging 47% titanium dioxide (TiO2).

North eastern Mozambique, where Memba is located, is experiencing a flurry of activity in terms of new mineral projects across a range of commodities, with almost unprecedented infrastructure development for this part of Africa.
